Come October! The period of harvests and fun begins this month!

I pretty much covered most of the upcoming events for this month from the last What’s Happening? post. Below are just quick updates on more events for October that I think that would give us global fans a chance to join in the fun! 😊

… and I’ll even post them with pics and video. 😊

This week…

  • On 10/2 (Tuesday)…

Shin is now 25-years-old. Happy birthday again Shin! What’s this video and this “birthday present” about? More on this as you read on.
  • On 10/5 (Friday)…
Lin and Hylen’s newest single for September, 1 Palace, is now available for purchase and download in your favorite audio streaming services like iTunes/Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play, etc. Review for the song coming up maybe tomorrow or sometime this weekend.
  • On 10/06 (Saturday)…

Shin and Yuki just had their dance workshop at DA Tokyo (Tokyo Dance and Actors Vocational School) at 12:00 p.m. JST with high school students aspiring to be dancers and those who want to enter the music and dance industry. Here they are with the next generation of dancers and performers. Some of them may even become future (J-Pop) idols too. Only time will tell. Thank you, Shin and Yuki for taking your time to teach and inspire the young with the beauty of dance and thank you, youngsters, for attending. You make us AXCELS and everyone else proud!

Next week…

  • On 10/7 (Sunday)…

The prince awaits for your arrival at his solo mini-live, SHIN-derella Night vol. 2, filled with song, dance, and stories, just like before. There will be a few tickets that will be sold at the door if you didn’t get a chance to snag a slot online at the MADKID FC site. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. JST and the live begins at 6:00 p.m. at Shibuya gee-ge.
  • On 10/10 (Wednesday)…

MADKID will be guest starring with one of Japan’s notable co-ed dance and vocal groups, lol, on a livestream episode of SWISH ROOM, hosted by the folks behind the SWISH LIVES series. If you can recall from the What’s Happening? #11 post about the collective group of SWISH rappers, SWISH HEYLAS, lol’s rapper Honoka will be part of the SWISH HEYLAS collective along with Yuki. For sure, this would be one of the topics for this episode. You can watch SWISH ROOM on the SHOWROOM livestream app or from the web browser next Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. JST. If you prefer watching it from the SHOWROOM app, it’s available for everyone around the world to download from App Store or Google Play. From there, search for SWISH ROOM and follow their channel. If you are watching from the web browser, all you need is a Twitter account to log in.
  • On 10/13 (Saturday)…

… though already mentioned in the past posts, this is more of an update. This particular SWISH live show starring the rap collective SWISH HEYLAS will also have a livestream on the SHOWROOM app. If you prefer not to download SHOWROOM, you can also view the live by bookmarking this URL here.

The week after…

Aside from the events already mentioned in What’s Happening? #12, the only update for that week is the following…

On 10/19 (Friday), MAD MUSIC #12: Singing to the Sky, will be on air via livestream on LINE Live…

If you have been following MADKID’s schedules for a while now, 2 you may have noticed that there was no MAD MUSIC #12 episode for the month of September. In fact, we had a TBA notice on this one from last August. September may seem like a not-so-busy month for the guys since they only had activities on the weekends, but if they had a month that has so many unmarked days, this only meant that they’re cooking up something that they can’t reveal to the public yet.

On 9/30 (Sunday), there was supposed to be their weekend live event at Fukuoka on that day. However, around that time, a very nasty typhoon was approaching that area of Japan that the organizers decided to cancel the event for everyone’s safety. With that being canceled, MADKID decided to replace the event with a free acoustic live via online livestreaming in their LINE Live channel. Titled Singing in the Rain, 3 this also meant that global Axcels like yours truly will finally have a chance to witness how it’s like to be in a MADKID concert, whether if it’s a hyped up event filled with dancing or a sit-down acoustic-style type of performance.

Unfortunately, the typhoon was just so harsh that even Tokyo’s public transportation services were shut down. This meant that the guys (who do take a lot of public transformation) and their staff won’t be able to travel to the studio to do their live. Therefore, even the acoustic livestream had to be postponed to a later date. Even with such an unfortunate turnout, Shin and Kazuki decided that they will come on their usual livestreams on Pococha and 17, respectively, on that day, since they’re all going to be stuck at home anyway. The boys do not normally do livestreams on the weekends,

Fast forward till this week that a new date for MAD MUSIC #12 is finally announced.

MAD MUSIC #12: Singing to the Sky combines both the missing September episode and the postponed acoustic live together in one episode, and it will be streamed online on LINE Live on October 19 at 9:00 p.m. JST. It was also announced that right near the end of the show, there will be a huge announcement. We don’t know that yet, so we shouldn’t miss this acoustic live if we were going to learn what that announcement is. 4

I may not be a MADKID Axcel for long compared to many, but I believe this would be the first time that MADKID would be holding an acoustic live on livestream before, so this is indeed a special treat for everyone for this Autumn/Fall season. 😊

Updates on AXCEL STYLE

New AXCEL STYLE feature?

Going back to that YouTube video I posted of one of Shin’s Pococha livestream sessions regarding the birthday gift that I sent him on the post above… this is what I’m going to write about with this topic.

I was actually debating myself regarding this, as many of you who I met know how much of a Shin bias that I am. Although his Pococha livestreams are open to the public (after all, he has his archive feature on his account on, so everyone can watch his past livestreams), I also wanted to share some of my “fan stories” regarding my interactions with him. None of them are super personal or anything, as there are plenty of other viewers 5 are present, but being one of the very few global Axcels who do join in his livestreams, 6 I’m in some ways one of the more widely recognized (Shin-biased) Axcels in the interwebs. I’m not saying this to brag, because anyone can join in basically, it’s not exclusive. It’s just a matter of your time zone and your will to meet Shin (and the other livestreaming members like Kazuki and Yuki) on your own accord.

Anyway, going back on the subject of this “new AXCEL STYLE feature” now. When I first opened AXCEL STYLE, I wanted this fansite to focus more on MADKID, the members individually, and the activities that each and every one of them are doing (in public) with no opinionated side talks or blog entries 7 about anything that’s not quite related to MADKID and their activities, but more of just being an active Axcel and a general J-Pop fangirl altogether. What I mean by this is that I’m not going to write a whole article about why Shin is my bias and how cute and sweet he is, etc. etc. or anything similar or related.

So, because of the “birthday gift” bit and the video I posted above, I thought of an idea. How about a feature called MADKID AXCEL Stories?

The MADKID AXCEL Stories idea for this site would be just a small series of blog posts written by global Axcels who may have their moments and experiences in MADKID and the members, whether they go on livestreams, travel to Japan and watch some of their lives, their moments on Twitter when a few of the MADKID members would be “stalking” them, 8 so on and so forth. I think as an idea of giving back to the Axcel community that I can feature some “AXCEL fan stories” coming from global Axcels and just share them with the rest of the community.

Maybe from some of these stories, some may find some inspiration to do something good. Not necessarily with MADKID or each member, but just doing something good in general. I don’t have all the set details yet on how I’m going to do this, but just rest assured that it will be a whole separate category of blogs written (or shared) by different people. I have some Axcel stories of my own, but I’ll share them later.

The story about my birthday gift to Shin? That’s another story. But from this video, I can assure you that the members will get your letters and gifts if you do send some fan mail to them. More info on how to do so at the Letters and Gifts section of this site.

And that would be it for this entry. Till next time, Axcels!

Some sidenotes...

  1. because of the harsh weather, probably bad internet/wifi connections, and other conditions because of the weather, the track’s release had to be postponed till a later date.
  2. MADKID Twitter always posts a monthly activities calendar, so everyone is aware of what the guys have been up to… in public that is…
  3. … obviously, the title is directed at the nasty typhoon stormy weather…
  4. … I have this little feeling that there may be another social media campaign involved on this one too…
  5. mostly Japanese Axcels and (probably) Japanese Shin-only fans, obviously…
  6. Karu-chan and two more and we’re all friends…
  7. with the exception of doing review posts, like what I do with LIN’s monthly singles with Hylen…
  8. Shin and Yuki are known as the “Twitter stalkers” of MADKID. These two love to give likes to everyone’s tweets that talks about MADKID or even themselves, especially if they are being directly tagged…
Sharing is caring!
